Christian is an extraordinary talent. He is an incredibly experienced
artist with huge passion and an understanding of all types of art. He
is intelligent, enthusiastic and charming with his main aim being to widen
the appeal of art for a mass audience.
At 28, Christian was the youngest artist to have officially painted Queen
Elizabeth II, he was commissioned by the Royal Overseas League in
London after the Queen chose him from a number of popular artists. He
also painted the Cardinal Cormac Murphy O-Connor for Westminster
Cathedral in 2002. Due to these honours he is now the Daily Mail’s
judge for ‘Paint the Queen’ as well as the annual ‘Drench’ art
award for Britvic.
Christian is the resident expert for the ITV daytime series ‘Brush
With Fame’, passing judgement and giving tactful advice to
all aspiring artists. He was recently the art teacher for ‘Make
Me Smarter’ on BBC1, and on ‘Jerry
Hall’s Kept’ for MTV. Christian
had the tough job of teaching celebrities to understand and appreciate art
with no previous experience, such as Ulrika Johnson and John Humphries, on
the hugely popular ‘Art School’ for BBC2 and
is the regular art expert for Richard and Judy, Channel
4. Christian has also painted various people including Johnny
Vaughn and Lisa Tarbuck (Channel 4) live on air.
Robinsons commissioned him to mark 70 years on Centre Court last year. He
drew the initial outline on a huge canvas that was completed by the queuing
public at Wimbledon. Christian has won several awards including an Association
of Colleges Gold Award (2004) at the House of Commons given to further
education alumni who have gone on to achieve excellence in their chosen field.
His book ‘The Lost Art’ is the definitive publication
for all those who think they are hopeless at art. He uses his wealth
of experience in teaching the artistically challenged to build people’s
confidence in drawing. In this engaging book, Christian simplifies something
that initially seems so complicated into step-by-step basics.
Christian has exhibited extensively at prestigious shows and exhibitions around
the World, naturally including the National Portrait Gallery.
Being an artist, he is naturally imaginative and creative with extensive television
production ideas. Christian is extremely passionate about art and communicates
well to his varying audience. He has a huge amount of credible experience
and an enormous love for his subject that comes alive on screen.
